Painted in 1784Depicts the Oath that the Horatii took before they went to battle with the Curiatii. They were two sets of triplits the Horatii are from Rome and the Curiatii are from Alba Longa. The city that lost would have to become apart of the winning city. The Horatii won the battle in the end, when it was down to the last Horatii and all the Curiatii were still alive, the last Horatii brother single hadedly killed all of the other Curiatii. The emperor of the Alba Longans didn't want to become part of Rome. He fled the city and was later found by the Romans and killed.
